Yes, it is reasonable and possible to build traffic without
spending money.
Our rule of thumb, if it’s useful, productive, and will assist us
in achieving our purpose and goals, then we go for it.
There was a day when a Hit Exchange was purely about exchanging
hits. Today, a hit exchange is like the corner convenience/gas
store offering anything from t-shirts to hot dogs, electronic
gadgets, and lottery tickets. I personally go to a corner
convenience store to buy gasoline and nothing else. I don’t buy
t-shirts, hot dogs, or electronic gadgets at a corner convenience
unless convenience far outweighs all other factors. We recommend
you do the same with Hit Exchanges.
In addition, watch out for all of these joint ventures. You do
understand how the JV game works? It’s the good ole boy club
working at it’s game. Each one takes their turn creating a gadget,
resource, e- book and then all join in to hype it as the best,
latest, can’t live without type of deal. If it’s useful,
productive, and will assist you in achieving your purpose and
goals, then go for it. If not, run the other way.
If you are asking my advice, hit exchanges should focus on being a
hit exchange and nothing else. And yes, the same applies to us,
traffic builders.
