BASEBALL DIARY

Years ago a young baseball player’s long-ball hitting got the
attention of a pro scout, and the boy was offered a contract.  When
he went off to spring training, he performed well.  And each week
he wired his mother back at home to inform her of his progress.

Week One:  “Dear Mom, leading all batters.  These pitchers aren’t
so tough.”

Week Two:  “Dear Mom, looks like I will be starting in infield.
Now hitting .500.”

Week Three:  “Dear Mom, today they started throwing curves.  Will
be home Friday.”

To your success,

Love your comments on baseball. My husband is an avid baseball fan. He coached BB from Little League to College.
Isn’t able to do it anymore but none the less it is his favorite sport and has become mine too.

You are so right once this or any thing we do starts to “throw curves”
we aren’t up to hitting them. Stay focused and keep you”eye on the
ball”
Thanks again
Anne

Hi,

The idea is to keep trying and never give up. It reminds me of the saying a quitter never wins and a winner never quits.

Most of my friends and family from back home don’t really know what a 3rd world country really is like. Yes there are main concerns of trying to make sure there is dinner on the table. One thing I see though is many of these individuals are always smiling and one of the sayings here which was given to me in a poster by my wife.

“Never Give Up

Go Over, Go Under, Go Around

Or Go Through

But Never Give UP”

This great gift was given to on October 25, 2009 as I struggle to find support for our cause but I believe things are near a turning point. Why – because I never give up, I keep improving the site; keep putting the word out both on-line and off-line. Sometime soon I will look back and say I am so glad that I never gave up. Yes that is one of my strengths is perseverance but it can also be hard on loved ones around you. Yes the gift of persaverance but most importantly what my wife and kids have given me – Hope, Faith and the most important! “LOVE” and I know as I almost gave up.
