Show Me The Moolah

May 9, 2009

This is a topic not mentioned much around here, because our first priority is traffic, generating long term daily traffic.

In the beginning, traffic exchanges didn’t offer much in the way of commissions.  Their model was geared towards rewarding you with a percentage of traffic earned by those you referred, and for the most part, this model continues today.

At some point, and I believe it’s because we all want more moolah, the addition of commissions, and in some cases, the opportunity to earn large percentages of commissions, became the norm.

Today, your rewards for referring others, the reason why we do what we do here, the reason why you should promote your TrafficHoopla and your business, is for both the ongoing traffic rewards and the commission opportunities.

Sure, you are all about your business, we understand this, appreciate and respect, but large amounts of ongoing traffic, and commissions, are important, key, useful to your success.  Make the most of them, make the most of your TrafficHoopla, and they can significantly increase and maximize your game.

I am frequently asked about upgrades and commissions, especially with regard to the hit exchanges.  My consistent response, I upgrade with all traffic resources that I use daily, you should do the same, but only spend moolah that you have budgeted, and can afford to do so.

Another question, who generates the most commissions?  I know critics will respond, it depends on you, your work, your encouragement, and in part, I agree.  However, when you are working with as much traffic as we do, throughout our network, testing and analyzing, I can tell you, some sites are better monetized than others, and yes, we have a good gauge on where people are spending their moolah.

There are 2 things that are becoming increasing important to our traffic world, our traffic business.

1.  Where are the CURRENT crowds?  The party?  The action?  I can tell you, it no longer follows the size or the hype, simply where the activity is today.

2.  Where is the moolah?  Show me the moolah!  Where people are currently spending their moolah, often means increased activity, conversions, and a well monetized site.

Show me these 2 things, I’m there, and you should follow.

This topic will continue, and in the coming weeks, we’ll give it more attention in the Hit Exchange Report.

There are some large traffic resources out there, some very large, some extremely popular, that follow a no commission model, and without change, I think their best days are over.

There are also some large traffic resources out there, popular, we refer thousands to, and yet little to no commissions at all.  Either your system is broken, or your site is not well monetized, regardless, it’s time to take a closer look, maybe time for a change.

Hi Bill,

This post is especially helpful to me as a new TE owner offering the 25-50% referral commissions on Both upgrades and purchases. I’m told it’s a little high, but I’m more interested in rewarding activity and, as you said, money is a great incentive.

Now with 640 members in the first 3 weeks, Tunnel Rat Traffic is picking up momentum and we’re aiming for 3k in May. There is still much to be done as we grow and adapt, so I will be paying close attention to your posts.

So far the daily surf rewards are proving successful, and I’m developing some more scripts behind the scenes centered around activity; which works really well on other sites.

Here is a question for you: Do you think surfing games take the focus off the sites in rotation, defeating the purpose of a traffic `exchange`? Or do they promote more activity, ultimately adding to the value of the site?

Thanks,

-Jerokiah Darr

Thank You Bill

This is a subject that I have acted on, over 8 or9 months ago.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who noticed this change.

Only after about 5-6 months of following all the “Top” best , it became quite noticeable, that the Biggest or Most popular, is not always the best, for me anyway.

That said, I was fortunate to find Traffic Hoopla early in my quest for the MOOla. since I started out as a newby with no experience, & of course No buss. to promote. I decided that Bill Carr’s method was the one for me to follow.

So I surfed & surfed hour after hour for months, & months, the whole time Promoting Tr.Hoopla, until I had a very large down-line.

Now that I am finally promoting my own ventures, I always have plenty to show them too. Thanks to TRaffic Hoopla, which I still promote every day!

Eagerly waiting to see what else Bill has to say on this subject.

I thought it was a very informative article and common sense too-
That is why my the index page of my site is a video site that runs off of You Tube videos- they are popular with the younger crowd and I have a few ads and offers on the page but not to the point of distraction. I love Hoopla and am a member of many of the sites on the list. I will promote them and Hoopla more. I am a noob at this internet marketing and have seen many things while looking for good opportunities- I know what I don’t like to see-empty promises!
You guys deliver and I thank you for that.

Bill,

Great post. There sure has been a swing in the commissions that TEs are offering.

Here at http://www.HitsImpossible.com we are at:
Civilian (free members) – 10% on purchases and upgrades
Agent Upgrades – 15% on purchases – 20% on upgrades
Director Upgrades – 25% on purchases – 30% on upgrades

It works, for those that promote.

Good article as it has me looking at where I am upgraded :)
