Build Web Site Traffic First

January 15, 2009

Build web site traffic first and then a business.

This may not work in the offline business world, but online a person can actually build traffic first and then build a business. In fact, this is the ideal route!

Who doesn’t desire success? It may seem peculiar to ask that question. Yet most of the people seeking to make money and build a business online will never achieve success. They’ll dream about it. They’ll talk about it. But most of them won’t possess it. And that’s a shame.

Why is that? Because most people don’t get it; traffic is the most essential ingredient to selling online. And even more notable, ongoing daily traffic is it.

The norm; search the Internet for how to make money online. Human nature will attract you to the latest product, service, idea or scheme. You then spend the next 6 to 24 months promoting it (you try others as well) through various advertising programs. At the end of the day, similar to purchasing a lottery ticket and checking the numbers after the drawing, you come to realize that the game is over, and you’ve lost.

I plead with you, stop doing business this way. This is not how you build a successful Internet business. This is not the lottery. You don’t stop at the corner convenience store on the way home, purchase a ticket, and then wait for success to strike. Nor is it a magical place you find through some secret map presented in the latest e-book. It’s a traffic thing – you either got it, or you don’t.

I challenge you to STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN. Spend time today to think about your business, your goals, and what you are currently doing. Reflect and evaluate and then make adjustments.

The world stands aside to let anyone pass who knows where he is going.

In our early online days, we turned 100% of our focus to building traffic. This has proven to be our best and smartest move. Today, armed with a substantial amount of ongoing daily traffic, we make sales everyday.

We are here to help,

Team Hoopla!

Just wish I had read this 3 yrs ago when I first started trying to make a living online. This article is 100% accurate. If you don’t believe it, keep your day job. I know it’s true because it has built my business.

Thanks,

I think this is a good idea just have a generic site until you figure out what your going to specialize in. Cause if you think about it all you want to focus on at this point is your opt in list for you can use your autoresponder :-)

Hi Bill,

Yes, you’re right.. Building traffic is the most important factor when one builds his business. If there’s no traffic, then there is no business.

But before I can do it I have to tell you that I have very basic knowledge in computers not to mention the fact that I’m new to internet marketing. During the past few days, internet connection has not been very good here in the Philippines because of bad weather conditions. Loading the pages was difficult and sometimes my connection was cut off. Some internet terminologies are new to me so I’ve been checking and learning what they are all about.

I’m taking my time and probably in the next few days I’ll start doing my surfing. Thanks a lot for the information.

A pleasant day ahead! Or is it evening?

Regards,
Lynn
